The Hobbs Meter gauge is used to clock the amount of time your simulator has been running. The Hobbs meter specifically keeps track of this in hours. You’ve got a couple of ways to get the Hobbs Meter activated:
- Battery On Enable: It’ll start counting when the battery’s switched on.
- RPM On Enable: It’ll kick in when it detects engine revolutions per minute (RPM).
The Hobbs meter gauge requires 5v to 18VDC to power it up. You can just use a standard ATX power supply for that or the Aces I/O module which you require to get the Hobbs meter module to talk to your computer.
Here are the measurements:
- Height: 59 mm
- Width: 59 mm
- Depth: 75 mm
- Weight: 50 grams
To fix it in place, you’ll need two screws to attach it properly to whatever surface you’re putting it on these screws are supplied.
Important Notice: This Hobbs Meter gauge is only meant for simulator use. You absolutely must not fit or use it in a real aircraft under any circumstances.
