5mm diffused LEDs are a standard type. Because of the brightness there are limitless applications. These diffused LEDs radiate a very bright and glare-free light. They are suitable ideally for model construction and e.g. for markings. The light intensity is lower than with water-clear LEDs, since the light is not bundled up. The brightest chips are used nevertheless as in the water-clear LEDs.
